Best place for kids in WI?

My boyfriend and I would like to take my kids outdoor climbing for the first time (ages 6, 8, 13).

We aren’t sure where the best place in WI would be…ideally somewhere with a shorter approach and trees to hang some hammocks.  We have TR and sport gear.  Located in Eau Claire but willing to travel and make a weekend out of it.

Any parents out there with tried and true suggestions?  Thanks!

Thanks so much for the suggestions Rob!  We love sugar loaf but not sure if my younger two could do the approach and have enough energy to climb haha!

I just looked at Interstate State Park and that looks like an awesome option.  Love that we could make a full weekend out of it too.

Thanks again for the help.

You are describing places at Devils Lake like: Stettners, Misery and the Guilotine.  In addition to reasonable non technical approaches, these have the advantage of proximity to a nice beach and ice cream stand.

Be careful with the river nearby at Interstate

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
