"Spring force" hanger torque at activation

I used one of Fixe's new hangers (Metolius has a similar one) that have a conical shape and it felt like it took an extra half turn or so to fully tighten the bolt. This makes sense, but I wonder if anybody has tested at what torque they start to compress and how much travel there should be.

Also I realize that torque is the wrong measurement here. Clamping force is what matters, and that depends on the thread pitch (and probably other stuff), so you can't blindly compare torque for wedge and sleeve bolts of the same diameter. The 3/8 and 1/2 hangers could be different as well, but that seems unlikely.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.

Fixed Hardware: Bolts & Anchors
