West Mt Elden uptown/ downtown access

Hey all!    

According to the forest service website Shultz Pass rd and Mt Elden Lookout roads are closed to vehicles.  Does anyone know if there’s alternative access to uptown / downtown areas?

I was up in west elden a few weeks ago and the road was open up to the parking lot next to the locked gate, and west elden is a 5min walk from the lot. This one maps.app.goo.gl/YpTSTBoASzN…
