Hi friends! I recently released a book called Valley of Giants: Stories from Women at the Heart of Yosemite Climbing (from Mountaineers Books). I'll be doing a couple of slideshows with some of the book's contributors and hope to see you there!

Joshua Tree: Saturday, April 30, 6:00 pm, The Sethpool (63676 Belmont Street) with Cliffhanger Guides, Athena Rock Climbing, and Friends of Joshua Tree. $10 ($15 at the door) includes dinner. Featuring guest speakers Mari Gingery, Lynn Hill, Heidi Wirtz, Josie McKee, Miranda Oakley, and Kelly Fields. Get your tickets here!

Los Angeles: Sunday, May 1, 4:00 pm, SenderOne LAX with Ladies Climbing Coalition. Free for members or included with a day pass. Sign up here!

I had no idea there were women at the heart of Yosemite climbing.

That’s awesome!

There was this small time climber back in the day named Lynn Hill, ever hear of her?

Anyway, a lot of the climbers that are most inspiring to me are women, and Lynn Hill is definitely among the raddest humans to ever live in my book. I don't know the other names but I am sure I would find them extremely interesting and inspiring.

I'm seriously considering scootin down on my little 300cc Honda and camping on BLM land or something somewhere to be able to attend this thing. This sounds dope as hell. Anyone thinking of going from NorCal and want to carpool?

I knew Lynn when she was fresh outta high school, and barely climbing 5.10!

I should clarify that some of these guest speakers are virtual and some are in-person!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
