When do you all start venturing out, another month? I looked at the western uintas weather its definitely in a freeze thaw cycle now, maybe enough snow to start depositing ice on the climbs but I don't know. Favorite spots?

Really depends on the year. Years that have had more substantial late september storms have produced more ice, i have been climbing there as early as oct 3rd. This year has been exceptionally dry and warm so most of the precip probably went straight into the ground/air. I personally will probably wait another few weeks/another storm cycle.

I will likely go out there for some late season running instead and will update if i find anything.

Added: Deer creek falls, Cobblerest areas tend to be popular early season but really dont come in until november. Reids ice usually forms a bit earlier.

Went and checked Deer Creek last weekend (nice little overnight camping trip). It's freezing, but definitely not in as of yet.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
