Heads up on the heads up

Anyone have any idea why the "Heads up -- this biner turned my rope black" thread got locked? Too much climbing content? I don't think we learned if the black coating on the BD product was causing it or not.

To be clear- it doesn't. Anodization won't wear onto things, it's from aluminum oxide once the anodization has worn away.
