  1. I'd like to start the process of using this app to record my accumulation of 45+ years of climbing but there's no way I can come anywhere close to dating the climbs accurately. Is there any way to leave the "tic" date field blank or another work around?

If you leave it blank it defaults to December 31, 1969.

1.  Just take your best shot. It will be better than nothing. I can't remember my dates well, but can get the year pretty close.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
