Cuboid fracture

Hi everyone, I broke my cuboid in a climbing fall a few months ago and got a plate and screws. It’s been five weeks since I got cleared to bear weight and I was told I should be walking in normal shoes at 2-4 weeks. However, I can still barely walk with a limp and a lot of pain. I tried to do a climb with a short approach a week ago and as I should have known, it made my foot way worse. Has anyone else had this injury, and how did progressive weight bearing go for you? I’m interested to hear other people’s experiences while I wait around, unfortunately my job involves hiking all day and you can only practice jugging so many times.

It's possible that there are other fractures that are unresolved.

I had the same injury a couple years back. I wouldn't climb till you can walk/run without pain.

update: I went to the doctor for a follow up and he said he doesn't know why my foot still hurts, and to come back in 6 weeks.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
