Hey Jebadiah -
I have one I'd be willing to part with. It's in used but good condition. Make me an offer and I can send over pics.
Cheers, -x

I’m not in bishop... A D I will do your trade depending on the condition.
I prefer the feeding action on the 1 over the 2. Especially for rope soloing.

Aidan Raviv wrote: Always interested to see what makes people say that. Curious to know why! GG2 has a 2:1 ratio on the handle, the very first gen, GG1, the handle geometry lends itself to a 3:1, making the GG1 measurably smoother for rope feeding. Weight diff btwn the 2 isn’t noticeable for me as it’s just in a pack for cragging, I don’t multi with it. Petzl has the GG1, GG2, GG+, and now the GG3 which is lighter (change in metals used and is about 25 grams lighter than the GG2). Petzl also returned with the exact same handle geometry as the GG1, giving the 3:1 ratio back. So if shopping for a new GG, maybe give the 3 a try. Being that my GG1 has seen a lot of use with the only sign of wear being paint loss, and my GG2 looks literally out of the package brand new with maybe a few grains of sand on it, I just keep grabbing the GG1 for how smooth it is. Last thing I’ll add when comparing GG1 vs GG2, is that my GG1 seems to handle ropes that fringe the extremes of rope diameters better, than the GG2, which quickly becomes a cluster with fatter ropes.
