France: Les Calanques in late August?

We’re considering making a stop to climb in Les Calanques, France, but mountain project says it’s murderously hot at this time of year and there are a lot of closures for fire risk. Are north-facing crags easy to find? We don’t yet have a guide book (were in Italy and none of the local shops have any French books) so cant easily find this out. As for fire closures, the links from http://www.calanques13.com/acces-calanques.html don’t indicate any closures for today but I assume they can change quickly.

So, any local beta? Is there enough to do in Les Calanques in the high summer?

Going to the coves will be nice!  But I’m sure the hike will be brutal.  I went in the middle of winter and temps were perfect with a Tshirt.

Looking for a partner for Ceuse on Monday (26) and Tuesday (27) if you’re around

We decided to bail on Les Calanques because as well as the temporary road closures there are seasonal bans on driving to Sormiou and Morgiou. Many remaining crags face south so we thought finding climbs out of the sun would be hard.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
