It didn't look like the helicopter even picked them up. Saw rescue walking up the trail with, they probably brought them down.

I heard some 5.12 climbing hotshot kid from LA bumped his head on the second pitch of Human Fright, got a little knot, and cried like a baby.

Is this your go-to account now that your CO Climber one was deleted?

ok people, thats it.

We cant self regulate rescues and gumbies, I am going to set up a table in humber park and people will need to pass a tahquitz safety certification course. This includes:

a belay test
rules on when to call for a rescue, i.e. almost never at tahquitz
Lead climbing test
Gear placement test

Any other ideas?

Dude.  Its simple, build a new Climbers Trail Post and put it on a hiking trail...  Hikers would hike to the cliff and can't climb it.  Gumbies will just be lost souls.

It's not a debate. ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET. Unless your bouldering, then, why are you doing that? Or if you don't like wearing a helmet.

You can crack your skull high balling too. Helmets should be required in all climbing disciplines.

My vote is to allow climbing at TZ only if accompanied by professional Rock Guide

False alarm people, it was just a hiker with a jacked knee. But, how did they find the trail without the sign?!?

Well it depends.  What type of climber are you sir?  Did you just get out of the gym like Jason Voss?  If so, the Black Diamond Half Dome is an economical and lightweight model I recommend to gym gumbies.  If you have some serious alpine experience under your belt, I recommend the Petzl Sirocco.  A little pricey, but very lightweight and used by those of the "light is right" ethos.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
