I have to travel to Europe (England and Spain) for work later this year and was wondering what gyms people frequent in the major cities?

I'm also linking to a related post that aims to improve MP's directory of non-US gyms.

"List of gyms in Europe, Asia, etc."
https://www.mountainproject.com/forum/topic/117010958/list-of-gyms-in-europe-asia-etc

Thanks.

2nd on Innsbruck. While you're there, go outside. Hire a guide if need to.

These have all been added to MP's gym directory and can be found visually on MP's map of gyms - see link in initial post.

Directory has improved substantially in a short amount of time but still has a long way to go.

"Overseas, Germany—a country smaller than the state of Texas—alone has more than 280 climbing gyms. Japan, about the same size as California, has over 500."

Monk Bouldergym.  I think the original was in Eindhoven and now there are a few around Amsterdam.  Great setting, great atmosphere, great people!

Gran Pared (great wall), in Bogota, Colombia has a good indoor lead wall. Not so great for bouldering though.

The Rock Foundry in Sheffield UK - one of the very first rock gyms and now one of the best.
Bjoeks Gym in Groningen, The Netherlands. Home to the second-largest stand alone outdoor climbing wall in the world. But just an awesome place to visit (my local gym).

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
