Charlet Moser Grade 8 conversion

Hey everyone! Got a question for you all...I just purchased the new La Sportiva Trango Tech boot to replace my very-worn, 20-year-old Makalus, and I'm wondering if anyone has tried converting Charlet Moser Grade 8 crampons to semi-automatics? Was thinking I might be able to use the Petzl Flex Fil clips to replace the toe bail... Also wondering if there are any flex bars that might work with these. Any thoughts on this?  Is it worth a try, or should I just nut up and buy a new pair of crampons as well?

No reason not to try the toe pieces. But the Grade 8 center bars are unlike any current crampon so there is no flex bar option.
