My beautiful rack of aliens, totems, C4's, DMM wallnuts, DMM offset nuts and tricams was stolen today 4/22/19 from my car at the Hangar 18 parking lot in Victorville, CA.  The nail polish color markings are yellow and turquoise on all pieces except for the tricams and wallnuts which are marked in purple and pale mint green.  It was a single rack even though a double rack is pictured.

Also lost were:
Black Diamond Big Gun Harness, Metolius gear sling, Yellow Petzl Gri-Gri, Blue DMM pivot, 2 quad anchors with Petzl attache and William carabiners, a pair of 5.10 blackwing shoes, Y&Y  belay glasses, petzl belay gloves, a bunch of extra slings and lockers, (12) 60mm alpine draws which had mammut slings, BD Oz carabiner in dark gray and a CAMP nano in orange on each end, (2) 120 mm mammut slings, a dark gray DMM alpha trad and a green DMM alpha trad carabiner, a metolius nut tool, extra lockers (BD Roc Locks and some others), some extra nylon slings...

This rack has great sentimental value to me... Not only is it my first rack, my wife and I bought our racks together and forged our relationship rock climbing together.  I will offer a cash reward to whoever finds it no questions asked.

Please PM...

Thanks,
Andrew

It's a sad day when climbers start stealing gear.

Damn dude
That’s awful

Have you checked into filing a claim?
If you have renters or homeowners insurance, with a police report and those photos you may be able to get all that at replacement value minus a deductible.

Dude, I am sorry. WTF.
I don't think any climber would steal someone else's potential life saving device.

Keep you eye out on CL or Offer Up. We just had some people break into a substation at work not to long ago and the stolen equipment was literally on Offer Up within 2 hours of them taking it. If you find it just take the add to the police and let them sort it out to keep yourself out of any sketchy scenarios.

Thank you so much for your supportive posts everyone.  Part of what makes climbing so awesome is the positive, supportive and trustworthy culture.  We leave our stuff unattended at the base of climbs all the time and can trust that it will still be there when we get down, so this breach of this code of ethics makes me very sad...

Again, thanks for the condolences.  It makes me feel a lot better about the climbing community.

They didn't even have the decency to leave you with at least one pink tricam.. Sorry to hear that bro. I'll keep an eye out online for yellow and turquoise markings. Who knows, maybe they'll pop up online or something.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
