Dawn Wall vs. Free Solo

I think the Dawn Wall movie doesn’t get the credit it deserves.
I’m not saying that Free Solo is bad though!

I thought Dawn Wall was the better of the 2. I really didn’t care for free solo all that much. 

There’s a thread or three discussing this for many pages. Do a search.

I just have to say, comparing the cinematography and editing in dawn wall to free solo is sort of like comparing a red bull video to an award-winning film..... oh wait

Both sick movies. I thoroughly enjoyed each for their own reasons, but you really just cannot compare them as far as production quality goes imo.

As a climber, free solo had too little climbing footage for my taste.

I liked Dawn Wall better in nearly every way, such an inspiring story and I love Caldwell. Honnold's demeanor towards his gf and his ego kind of turned me off in free solo.  The footage was amazing though. 

Dawn wall was a better, informative, relatable with deeper emotional attachment.
