better method needed?

After zooming in and enhancing the image many times I finally saw what appeared to be small, some might say micro, fractures all over the biner and tree. This type of reckless disregard for safety is going to kill him/her/they!!

Ellen, perhaps if this had been posted in the beginners section, with an explanation from your point of view of what was less than optimal, it would have been received more enthusiastically.  Not sure why so many snarky responses here though...

The bolded passage basically answers your second sentence - not only was the explanation lacking, but apparently the thread was originally titled in a way that called a PAS a daisy chain. The two of those created snark chum.
