I bought some Fixe hangers, (PLX HCR) but was worried about their sharp interior edges. The hangers are super "beefy" but the inner edges are not rounded at all, and were so sharp I wondered if they could cut a climbing rope, if the rope was put directly through the hanger (yes climbers do that sometimes). I tested the hanger by mounting it on a rafter, threading an old climbing rope directly through the hanger, then swinging on it for 10 minutes continually appraising for damage. I was a little surprised to find no damage to the rope at all, …. Despite not seeing any signs of the rope being cut I was still paranoid about the sharp edges so I rounded the interior edges with a carbide burr … I'm not impressed at how sharp the Fixe weight bearing edges are, especially compared to most other climbing hardware makers. Rounding the edges seemed to make a big difference, and increased my "peace of mind"
