How does your Honda Element do in the wild?

What are the worst roads you've taken one on? I'm trying to decide between an Element, CR-V, Tacoma 6' bed, 2006ish Tundra... or maybe you have some suggestions...

The answer is stick to mostly used un-paved roads/trails.

Element and CR-V are built on same/similar chassis (from the honda civic), so same suspension and ground clearance.

If looking to do some backcountry, get the tacoma or tundra. As much as the element is great for car camping, its a city specific SUV.

I've been stuck in a friend's Element for no good reason at all. On a hard pack dirt nothing hill the front tire just spinning. I've had "grandma cars" do better on roads like that. My other friend's CR-V seems to do much better and has seen some burly roads. Neither were 4x4/AWD models, however.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
