Hi guys, I am planning a climbing trip with my wife and kids and in need for some advise regarding red rocks. We are looking for suitable crags which will accommodate the following:
(1) Real easy approach and base suitable for kids to hang around.
(2) Sport routs (sub 5.9 for the kids and 10's and 11's for the adults)
(3) Reasonable weather in September (which I guess means shady).

Many thanks in advance!
Uri

Black Corridor could be a good option. Easy approach and flat base. I think there is only 1 5.7, but there are several 5.9s and lots of 10s and 11s.

Panty Wall is another possibility.

Interested in the other feedback you get as this is somewhere is love to return to with my kids!

In late September, the Corridor would be my top choice.

In early September, given current conditions, red rock will probably be too hot for your family, especially the kids. I'd look at going to Walla Walla/Yellow Pine or Starter Crag up at Mt Charleston.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
