Sounds pretty wild.

If you're planning at climbing at Devil's Head for the holiday or the next 48 hours, you might want to check to see if it's open. My plans just changed for the next two days. Ugh.

ALWAYS pack heat in the mountains

Carjacker shoots at random cars driving through the S. Platte and then picks a fight with an armed camper, aims a gun at the camper, and gets himself shot.
Well, I have not shed a tear on this one.  Sounds like it ended almost as well as it possibly could have.

I had to pick my boyfriend up from the trail over there that day; he was mountain biking and got stopped by another concerned biker who heard the shots. Any time there is a runner attacked or something crazy like this its in that area... definitely pro carrying a gun around there. 

Anyone been up there since this incident? I'm assuring its open again by now?
