Hey there,

We are a family of 4 with two little girls (9months and 3 years). We have been living in the states for 3 years and want to do a 3 month road trip to climb, explore and check out this amazing place.

So .... we are looking for a Van / Class B that can comfortably sleep and drives with 4 people plus basic amenities. Needs to be reliable, ready for an epic adventure and able to understand Australian accents.

Quite happy to purchase and sell at the end of our trip or swing you some cash to rent you van - we will love it and maintain it either way!

Looking for something like sprinter size so you can stand up, cook and have family dinner on a rainy day. Ideally with the capability to be off the grid for a week or so at a time.

Can pick up anywhere - that will just be where our travels begin.

Shoot me a PM or send me some links.

Hey Chris,

Ended up renting a great van from Best Time RV. Got a Hymer Acktiv Loft, put the kids in the back decided by my bouldering pad and the wife and I slept up top.

Good size for us it could get around the city but still had everything we wanted. It is not a 4x4 so clearance was ok but you had to be careful. For the 3 months we were able to get it at a good price, shopping around and choosing the pick up place made a huge difference.

Thanks Rahn!  I checked them out.  They definitely have more reasonable offerings amongst what seems to be a very pricey field out there. still looking for a better price but guess things are starting to get booked up for the spring season...

How much did it cost to rent a Hymer Acktiv Loft?

We rented it for 3 months from the end of September and it was about $45 a day plus mialage @35c we ended up doing about 8000m around the west so it ended up being about 8k all up.

We really liked the loft.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
