question for Rock Exotica Silent Partner owners

My Silent Partner has a tiny bit of play where the housing sideplate in the below photo is attached to the axle. If I grab from the carabiner attachment end and the opposite end and alternate squeezing each end, I can feel a tiny bit of play. The other sideplate is solid on the axle. The drum locks properly. I am just wondering if there is anyone out there who has a minute to spare and can check their device to see if it too has a bit of play just so I know whether or not this is normal or maybe something that developed over time from use. The second and third photos show the change in spacing between the rope retaining bars when I alternate squeezing each end of the device.

Thanks.
