Anyone been there since the most recent snow or have an update on the conditions? Is it accessible with 4x4?

Haven’t been back there recently but I would assume the mud puddles you would need 4x4 due to the recent rains.  It takes a while for those to dry up.  I was back there this winter and they were full and my Jeep made it thru tho it was deep.  Saw someone get stuck also.

I know a road to avoid them.

I was wondering about the actual crags.

Should be fine.  No snow up here.

Firstly thank you for your replies.

its been snowing up there for 3 weeks.

You say you haven't been there in a while and then you say there is no snow.

Do you say there is no snow cause youve been there in the last couple days or a month ago there was no snow?

It looks like beantown lives in Big Bear, so I'd think that's pretty good beta. Carry on!

Everyone please no fires in holcolmb parking lot.  Went there today and had to tell some climbers that there are no fires and it’s clearly posted.  I take the fire pits down all the time there.  If you want a camp fire go to holcolmb valley camp ground.

Beantown,

Thanks for taking on the unpleasant task of confronting the fire scofflaws. Did they take their admonition well?

As of 4/7, Polique Canyon road was in good condition and conditions at the crag were nearly perfect.

Again, Friday afternoon across from lost orbit crag climbers setup camp with huge fire.  They put it out and moved camped to Holcolmb Valley campground.  Went back Sunday afternoon this place was busy for April, half parking area full of cars.

NO FIRES!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
