We have a private renovated basement room for up to two climbers with plenty of space to relax after a long day and get some sleep.

The good: quiet neighborhood in Stone Ridge, easy 15-20 minute drive on country roads to the Gunks.  1 acre of land, deck, grill, kitchen use, showers, laundry, climate control, wifi, resteraunts 5 minutes away, backyard fire pit with wood available. Clean room has a bed, desk, and climbing book library.  Futon also available.  Finished basement is 1400sq. ft and it's pretty much yours for the night. There's also an old school weight lifting gym in case you still got energy or get rained out.  Dinner, wet bar, and breakfast available for very reasonable fee.

The bad: basement is yours but bathrooms and kitchen are upstairs, we have a two year old (who you usually can't hear down there, but she does live here and there is a possibility that all hell could break loose), no pets, this is not a party spot, and Its pretty dark in that room so people often sleep later than they intend.

As much or little interaction with us as you'd like.  Quiet suburban neighborhood. $40/night, $60 for two.  This is not an air b n b listing or a full service b & b - it's just a small way for climbers to help other climbers out with affordable & comfortable lodging.  Space is often occupied by friends and family, so be in touch early to reserve your spot.

FYI bedrooms with no egress windows are illegal everywhere.

Troper,

I'm very aware of that, it's why I mentioned it as a soft way of notifying climbers who happen to be building inspectors that they might not be a good fit here.

Its kind of dangerous really, fire codes are no joke.

Hey T Roper why don't you quit trolling. He is extending an offer to the climbing community and was very transparent as to how things are set up and how lodging would work. It seems like a decent place to me.

Not trolling, its serious business getting burned up in a fire and a shit ton of liability as well. I'm trying to help believe it or not.

Bump for Lucander and his lodging offer.  Clean and quiet room, easy drive to the cliffs, and even made us coffee in the morning.  For the price can't ask for to much more.

Go Dave.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
