Doing the west buttress in May. Anyone have  any recommendations for some bamboo stakes to use as wands?  I see a lot of options on Amazon but don’t want to end up buying something way too thick or too long. Thinking skinny and maybe 4-5 feet long?

Preferably looking for something on amazon.

Probably won’t bring a ton but definitely enough for marking caches and maybe some key sections on the route

Haven’t used wands before so trying to figure out the right balance between long enough but not awkward to carry

You can buy them directly from TAT if you're flying in with them. I think K2 sells them as well.

Yep, any air service will load you up with wands. We use Sheldon Air Service and they had plenty (included with your air fare)

Cool one less thing to do!

Don't forget flagging tape for the wands---so that they're visible in low light.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
