Hi everyone, I got this link about how difficult is to get into Ice climbing and would love to hear some feedback about it!

Thanks

It's a good start but I am not sure the article covers some of the important basics of ice climbing.  Things you should consider are safety, gear, footwork and 'cramponing', tool swing, body positioning (article touches this but a lot is missing), tricks for resting/cheating on climbs, dealing with friendly and not-so-friendly features, reading ice, communication, belaying, anchors, etc...   Just my $0.02.

Note that I 100% agree with this statement --> "The ability to become a good ice climber makes you look good"  :)

hahaha yeah is a good quote and I guess that the article is very light when it comes to thinking of the depth of such a sport. Just wondering if it is a good place to start thinking about it :)

I felt like that was really hard to read and understand.

If you're looking for info on ice climbing I'd recommend checking out Will Gadd's blog:  http://willgadd.com/spring-and-sag-a-suspension-view-of-ice-climbing-movement/

For many, the "hard" part is spending a bunch of money on all the required gear. Way higher entry cost than rock climbing.

Once that problem is solved just go out and do laps on toprope to figure it out.

Andres, thanks for sharing your article.  It's always good to see someone stoked about ice climbing.

I think I agree with "climbing coastie" above.  The article itself would benefit from a good native English speaking editor.  Keep climbing, and keep writing, and keep being stoked.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
