I found this down parka in a thrift shop in Leadville. Brand: Snow Lion. Anybody know the model or anything about it? When was it made? Anybody used to own one and loved it/hated it? Let me know!

EDIT: Found on a website called oregonphotos.com:

"The early-mid-70s is when the red and blue down garments on the left were made. They all have standard 1.9 oz. ripstop nylon fabric. All were well-designed and well-sewn."

Snow Lion was a semi-big deal in the mid-late 70's Top quality down gear (their bags were AWESOME), but their tents (I had one) were less impressive. A bit of a knock-off of TNF, with better prices. Unabashedly made in China. That jacket would go for $250 today if the nylon were lighter.

Did some digging and found this catalog. Would I be correct in assuming this is the "ULTIMATE PARKA"?

HEY!   I have a down sleeping bag made by these guys that I've had since the late 80s, it's still holding up quite well !!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
