Looking for a potential partner or groups for Aconcauaga. I know this is way in advance but I have a busy schedule so I need to plan far out.

The tentative plan is to hire logistics up to base camp but do the rest solo. So we would have rides to the mountain and mules to base camp, as well as access to the mule companies toilets/water at base camp. I have been in contact with a outfitter already.

I strated as a backpacker/thru hiker 5 or 6 years ago. I found I enjoy mountains far more. My notable peaks are Kilimanjaro, Mt Stanley/ Margarita Peak in the Rwenzori’s (Uganda), Baker, Rainer, Washington (NH, winter ascent) and several Adirondack peaks (winter ascent). I am also a ice climber though that won’t help on Aconcauaga.

Here is the theoretical schedule though open to changes, just a baseline idea

Day 1: Leave USA

Day 2: Flight arrives late am Mendoza

   Car pickup from airport

   Permit in Mendoza

Day 3: Penitentes

  Car to Penitentes, Leave early!!

  Relax maybe short afternoon hike

Day 4: Trailhead to Confluencia Camp

   Late start, afternoon arrival

Mules transport Gear to Plaza de Mulas

Stay in bunk so we don’t have to carry extra gear?

Day 5:  Arrive at Plaza de Mulas

Day 6:

Rest or Carry to Canada

Day 7-8:

Carry to Niko (pick up stuff from Canada)

Day 9:

Full Board, get some big meals before the summit bid

Day 10:

Day 11:

   Carry/Hike to camp Berlin

Day 12:

   Move to camp Berlin

Day 13:

   Summit Leave around 3/4 am

   Descent to Plaza de Mulas

Day 14

Exit from Mulas to Mendoza

   Mules to transport gear

   Car from trailhead to Mendoza

Day 15–16:

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
