I see no reason why it wouldn't be fine right up through vertical ice (WI 4-5), given a good crampon.

I've had no problem with them climbing wise, although the toe adapter is meh. Even with lock tight and such, the bolts always came loose. I opted for a semi auto crampon after too many issues with the toe adapter coming undone on climbs.

That's quite disconcerting to hear. I'm amazed that they still came loose even with lock tite and the nyloc nut. I guess the front bail of a crampon takes more abuse than one might think.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
