The long awaited shuttle service will start soon. Not sure if i will ever use it but im sure it will make life easier on some of the carless dirtbaggers. Seems very limited in scope so i doubt it will have much of an impact.

Nice. Is the shuttle service free? Do passengers still need to pay a park entrance fee while riding the bus?

Shuttle is free, my understanding is you have to have a National Park Pass to use the bus, therefore, your park entrance is covered.

"The Roadrunner Shuttle Bus service will start February 1, 2018. During this pilot season, there will be buses entering the park through the entrances in Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms. These two buses will enter the park every 2 hours. Buses will stop at designated trailheads every 30 minutes. Bus stops have been identified both in the communities and within the park. Signs will be posted on already existing posts where the buses will be stopping in the community, and benches and signs will be posted at the bus stops within the Park.
