[LOCKED] Great Online Deals of 2018

The other one was too great and locked new replies.

Since there were some complaints about gear trade, single use, and clothing I’ll attempt to set a standard. Single items and some clothing are alright if the user puts in some personal experience why they are putting it up, not just spamming affiliate links. Everyone should agree that posting a generic Patagonia deal is super lame. All in all, I like to stay current with climbing deals and this a good thread to do so. Keep it simple, minimal banter, etc.

To kick this off I’ll post that backcountry gear is giving 20% off a full price item at the moment, excludes totem before anyone gets excited, with January20 code.

Campsaver is having another 20% outlet sale (Code 20OTLT) which isn't too special but there's a lot of Hydroflasks in the outlet.

Alpenglowgear is having a killer deal. I got 25% off my two new Cassin X-Dreams, which are listed at full price on their site. Looks like it goes through the 12th.

*Tip* when shopping with them- they always have promocodes at the bottom of their home page.

Seriously? You're better off ordering this from Campsaver and using "10CPN" to get the price to 361.77 because Campsaver has more sizes and lengths available than Truvana

Another vote to take of the dumbass parenthetical title please

Good deals guys, keep it up.

Since the "(Make Deals Great Again)" title suggestion is distracting folks, I moved on it like a bitch. I kept the other suggestion "of 2018" since that's not bothering anyone.

Well, now you ruined it. Put it back! Make the Great Deals Thread Great Again!

80 lumens. Great for a backup light to leave in your pack or loan your partner who forgot there’s... ship to local REI store for free.  $7.32 total price

Let's keep the jingoistic BS out of the title.

Do you have a link? This one isn't the price your screenshot shows... https://www.rei.com/rei-garage/product/136515/black-diamond-ion-headlamp

My post was entirely tongue-in-cheek. I'm pretty sure the original title was satire, as well. I really don't care what the thread is called.

I snagged a couple, haven't arrived yet but the same pic and price he posted.

ETA: 80 lumens vs. 100, and different color. Seems like an older model and a newer one?

Edit 2:Here are the cheap ones

Scottmx426 · · Unknown Hometown · Joined Sep 2014 · Points: 0

Yes I’m sure they are older less powerful models. I got one for backup or just around camp so I’m not burning up my main headlight batteries before I really need it. I PMed Z winters when they showed up again.

Edit it to add:  Steep and cheap has a huge collection of Patagonia on sale for 40-50% off. Also. Semi annual sale along with its parent company BC.com who will match prices and ships for free. Don’t forget to add AJ.

Trying my luck over here:

I see online deals come up all the time from websites such as Backcountry, Moosejaw, etc. But with the value of the Canadian Dollar so low, is there any alternative for canadians that don't involve buying from across the border or paying almost full price for climbing gear from over here? In other words, I am looking for canadian websites that give up good deals (20% and up?) on new gear sometimes.

Thanks!
