Any idea if the West entrance of Pinnacles is accessible (i.e., will the gate be open) tomorrow (Sunday) despite the government shutdown? Seems like the East entrance gate will be open as usual but wanted to see if the West is as well since it's a one hour drive between the two.

I'm headed to the East side tomorrow as well... no idea if we'll be able to get in though... Fingers crossed!

This Is from their Facebook....

"During a Federal government shutdown, we do not monitor or update social media. Some areas in Pinnacles National Park are accessible, however access may change without notice, and there are no NPS-provided services. For more information visitnps.gov/pinn."

You should be good to go. Just expect even less of a presence from law enforcement.

Keep in mind that a lot of the park is closed to climbing right now. Current status

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
