Ice screw clipper slots for organizing more gear?

I keep looking at those things on my 2 year old corax and I keep thinking about throwing some spare wiregates in them and using them to keep alpine draws or maybe some passive gear on.  Anyone ever tried this?  Pros/cons?

I think you'll find that regular biners are kind of floppy in those ice clipper slots. Might work OK for you though.

Could probably do some wraps of tape to thicken them up and get em to have a friction fit in there.
