Has seen some use, still plenty of life.  Looking to try a Wild Country Revo with sales money.

$95 shipped for both.  Freino is amazing w/ Gri Gri imo.  Prefer not to separate but will entertain offers...

Paypal Friends and Family plz.

I know this is a for sale posting but I'm curious what utility the Freino adds with a GriGri? I've always seen those kind of additional braking carabiners as being used with a tube device with a heavy climber. But the GriGri is already a serious braking machine and it locks up. How does that help?

Hi Andrew good question,

Specialty piece, so most of it prolly doesn't pertain to most climbers.

It it an instant redirect on a top belay and helps some-to-quite a bit for a smooth lower- for starters keeps the rope aligned perfectly. I have touted them for years but no one much believes "how good"...Love it on single rope rappels as well which I pretty much do exclusively even on multipitch.

As you say, for the 'bigger climber' it helps. That's me.

Recently, one of my partners took a self rescue class and the guide crowed about it quite a bit, which gave me a chuckle. Mostly for redirect I think.

I just got a new Frieno from family using a dated Xmas list otherwise would not sell...(no returns)

But don't take my word as "be all end all" I have a lot of strange notions. I'm the weirdo running locking revolvers and harness pants for many OWs. Once invented a magnet device based on the old velcro tabs you ripped for a "super quick clip" (remember those harnesses) so I could grip it and rip it (the crux piece)

It worked great in the living room but not as well on overhanging terrain 50' off the deck.  "Rock!"  Maybe stronger magnets...but I digress

Don't tell anyone I said this but you can actually rap single handedly very easily w/ Frieno, which is real handy in some situations like new routing. Lots of poison ivy to fend off in this neck of the woods. The most annoying thing about it is trying to remember how it is spelled.
