Does anyone know what the climbing conditions are like in Tuolumne right now? Thinking about going for Conness or West Crack but not sure if there's snow up there from last week's storm.
As of this past weekend, there were 3" at the campground, more up high
I heard a rumor about West Crack being climbed without a problem last weekend, while there was snow on ledges on other routes.
Fairview regular route, Lembert NW face routes, and On The Lamb all had snowy/icy ledges as of Sunday 9/24. It was melting quickly though.
The first two pitches of West Crack looked dry on Sunday. We opted for another route due to 3 parties ahead on route at 3pm, so I can't speak to the upper pitches.
I went to climb Conness last weekend. It was 20 degrees out and there was several inches of snow on the ridge itself. Of course that was 5 days ago, do it could be all melted out by now
