Have a week off October 11th-18th, looking to do some mountaineering/trad/alpine stuff in Washington, specifically North Cascades if possible. Shuksan looks awesome along with McMillan spire and the pickets. Confident leading 5.8 trad, follow harder. Have about a double rack. I'm getting into the alpine game and have ice tools and crampons. I would like to get on some glaciers and practice roped travel. I have all crevasse rescue gear and have practiced systems. Any combination of day trips to multidays to hard climbing to mellow 4th and low 5th class solo is all fair game. I'm just lookin' to get remote and on some big beautiful peaks. I know it's not an ideal time of year, but haven't been to North Cascades and can't get the photos of the peaks out of my head. I'm out of southern Oregon currently and new to the PNW so if you have better ideas for any of this combination of types of climbing, I'm game to drive anywhere.
