Destinations reorg

Another way to ease navigation of Colorado climbing areas: put all of the top areas in the Destinations list. Right now, the Destinations list shows

Boulder Canyon

Castlewood Canyon

Eldorado Canyon

Garden of the Gods

Horsetooth Reservoir

Lumpy Ridge

Rifle Mountain Park

RMNP/Ice

Shelf Road

I'd add the following:

Alpine Areas

Big Thompson Canyon

Black Canyon

Carter Lake

Clear Creek Canyon

Devils Head

Dream Canyon

Eldorado Mountain

Eleven Mile Canyon

Flagstaff

The Flatirons [after reorg into one area]

Golden Cliffs/North Table Mountain

I-70 Corridor

The Monastery

Poudre Canyon

South Platte [after reorg into one area]

South St. Vrain Canyon

Any climbing area with more than ~50 routes should be included in the Destinations list.

A user could navigate to any major climbing area in Colorado in two clicks:

1. Click on Destinations.

2. Click on climbing area in Destinations list.

This is comparable to the current navigation methods on cb.com:

From anywhere on cb.com:

1. Click on Rock or Ice.

2. Scroll down to find area you want.

3. Click on climbing area.

From an area or route page on cb.com:

1. Click on pull-down menu of climbing areas.

2. Scroll down to find area you want.

3. Click on climbing area.

The only difference is that not every climbing area is included in the Destinations list on MP.com, whereas all climbing areas are included in the lists on cb.com. But putting all climbing areas with more than ~50 routes in the Destinations list should meet the majority of user's needs.

This should answer most of the complaints about geographic organization making navigation more difficult.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
