What are the guidelines and qualifications for admins? How are they chosen and how are they compensated? How is their integrity monitored? Just wondering.

They generally have contributed positively to the site; they talk to me directly or are introduced by other admins who know them; they are volunteers who spend their free time making MP better for everyone; I take a look at complaints when the come up.

Our admins use their local knowledge to do an incredible job at organizing content around the world, and they do it to help their fellow climbers with no personal remuneration.

Is there a mission statement? For example, what constitutes being a "jerk" and therefore their content is removed? Or, what are the guidelines for removing or changing route content?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
