Parking at Lumpy is free, but it costs something like $25 (or a National Parks pass) to drive into RMNP.

Note on Lumpy parking - the sign out front has said "Lot Full" every time I've been for the last few months, even if it's early in the morning and the lot is empty. So don't assume.

Don't need a park pass for Lumpy either.

Note - it's free (or at least there's no one to check) to drive into RMNP before about 7:30AM. Since most climbers' days in the park start well before then, I rarely find myself needing a park pass. Pebble wrestlers' mileage may vary, as I usually encounter them on their way up to their proj as I am headed back down from my climb.

Technically, you do, since it's within RMNP. Is there a ranger at the trailhead checking? Hardly.

Yeah and I'm sure you always drive the speed limit because, technically.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
