Maybe this is already being done by someone.. If so, I'd love to know who.
I am one who does not like the feel of resoled shoes; however, I hate the idea of throwing a pair away when it could benefit those that can't afford shoes. It would be great if someone could set up a donation program for blown out shoes where you would share some of the cost of the resole (or perhaps persuade the rubber manufacturers to do so) and then donate them to climbing clubs/organizations/gyms that depend on donations.
I realize shipping can be expensive (especially to other countries) so this could be built into the cost for the donators and/or rubber manufacturing sponsors. Anyone doing this rn?
