Hello PNW folks,

I am a lowly sport climber from Central Texas and I'll be spending a long while in the Seattle area looking for the best sport routes around. I am in the market for a new rope because my current one ought to be retired. I am trying to decide on a 60m or a 70m, what would y'all recommend?

Thanks :)

If you're just taking it to the sport crag get a 70. They cost a little more but there are routes here and there that require a 70 to lower off of.

Go with a 70.  There are many routes that wander this making the need for a 70 better.  Also there are some mega routes at 32 which need a longer rope.  Plus it never hurts to have the extra feet just in case.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
