For Sale: A pair of BD Spectre ice pitons. In like new condition, never used. These are the original ones with solid bodies. Heavier but considering you will be hammering them, worth the extra weight.

$50 for the pair, shipping included or $20 each with $7.50 shipping USPS Priority Mail.

What's the advantage to the solid design?

Ever hammer on your untralight nut tool? The force is dampened by the webbed design. Less driving force=more pounding. I have noticed a significant difference between my Black Diamond (webbed) not tool and my Ushba (solid) titanium nut tool when it comes to busting loose nuts jammed into cracks. Why BD changed the desisn? Less weight and less material. Cheaper to make and the lighter weight is a marketing ploy.
