Mountain + camp spot for rent San Diego/Jamul
|
Hey Everyone, I recently developed a single camp spot (out of 160 acres) on a mountain top I own. When I bought the property it came with a hand written climbing guide penned by Ray Olsen. Im not sure if this is the appropriate place to spread the word but more info at Hip Camp search Whiteside Mountain. https://www.hipcamp.com/california/crow-s-nest/whiteside-mountain |

Hi Steve, it sounds like a great spot (from Oct to May). Climbers know that area as Deerhorn Valley, even tho it's not quite in Deerhorn Valley. You have probably seen the info on various posts on Supertopo. There was another guidebook sometime after Ray's guide, with some newer routes from the mid 90s. |

Hey Tom, long time no see. Actually I have not seen the posts on super topo. If you run across them send me a link. I am hardly ever on this board, but I think you know where to find me. :-) steve |

Do you allow day use without paying to camp? |
|
I don't know if Steve will get your post here, but as far as I know, he does not allow day use without paying to camp. |

Yea more then $100 for a tent with a couple people, no water or power and that requires a 4WD to access is outrageous. |
|
It's glamping, with many of those amenities included. |

Hi Steve, I noticed the listing is no longer available on Hipcamp —is it still available for booking elsewhere? Thank you! |

Is this the spot that the group of local dudes (Ben and Tradi and co?) recently purchased and are working to open up? |

Any known climbs on that side worth forking over the cash to camp there? |
