Ive seen a few pics of a home made finger rest. Can any one share their design? Any thing would be helpful. Thank you in advance

If you've seen pics, you might already have a pretty good idea of what you want it to look like. Not sure if 'Pre 2017' is significant.

I always tied a leash out of 1" tubular webbing, girth hitch the head, tie a knot where you want your hand to rest. I liked to have a long leash so I could connect it to my harness and switch between the left and right hand depending on what foot is uphill. This ensures you don't lose the axe when crossing glaciated terrain, but can be hazardous if you lose control and are unable to self arrest.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
