I was up solo adding a bolt to a climb (my climb so OK), and working on some sport routes when I got one of my ropes stuck on the second pitch. I left a note at the trailhead that I would return in four days (July 4th), however a friend did the route two days later and reported no rope. Really, someone would do that after reading the note? The rope was getting old and beat, but I was still pretty bummed.
My wife and I returned July 4th and found it neatly coiled in the shade of an arch at the bottom of the climb (Ice House Roof). Sweet!
Thank you to whoever did the route and retrieved the rope!
