Hi, anyone up for being an "Uber" / Chauffeur for an X-Climber in Yosemite for a day on August 26th? I have never been to the park and I really would like a tour. I am going to be arriving in Merced hopefully on the evening of the 25th by train or bus from Sacramento and getting a Hotel. If not, the early bus / train on the 26th. My final destination will be the Tuolumne Meadows Camp Ground.

I do realize the campground is at least 100 miles from Merced and this will be an all-day commitment. I'll buy all meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Naturally I’ll pay for gas and a very good "guiding" fee. Bonus points if you know a great place to catch great sunset photos.

I do know YART is an option, but wouldn't give me a good tour of the area. Modesto is another option too...

There are a few things I need to do :

1) Pick up my permit at the Ranger Station while they are open, obviously.

2) Be dropped off at the Tuolumne Meadows Camp Ground on the 26th.

3) I’ll need to get a fuel canister at an outdoor place.

Since I don’t climb anymore, I don’t check MTP, email is my preferred communication now.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
