I'm sure this is a long shot coming out of a holiday weekend - I've got some time to kill while in Asheville during the day and would love to get a few routes in during the day if any of you have that Monday off. I'll have my car with me and all my gear (with trad rack).

Isn't rumbling out of season? I was going to take Monday off if I could find something to do as I live in gastonia.

Any chance you'd drive up to Linville that day?

That's what I thought.  It was hot when we went mid January.

I'm going to end up at Crowders July 3rd if anyone wants to join.  Plenty of shade if you chase it.

It will be a ghost town if you can handle the heat, humidity, poison ivy and chiggers. The town of Lake Lure will be crazy and packed with people if the forecasted weather holds off.

Honestly the whole state looks like a washout this weekend. It's a shame to rot away in the office in beautiful moderate temps all week before a rainy long weekend.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
