Accessing Smith Rock from the bridge beyond Marsupials

I'm looking for beta regarding entering the 'park' (technically not the parks that far out) from the bridge beyond the Marsupials.

I have a bouldering project way way way out there and the hike is ridiculous considering how close the bridge is.

I know I've heard about people entering the park that way (especially in the old days) but I'm worried about leaving my vehicle there or possibly walking through private property.

My project is on BLM and fairly close to the canal road so it would be an easy walk coming from that way.

Thanks for the help...

Yes when I went to Smith Rock in the 70's we crossed the canal bridge road. But because of people leaving the gate open the land owner closed the road. That is why we have a park walking bridge today. That way is all private land, do not mess it up, because most of the upper gorge is on private land and no one knows it. The land owners could stop climbing there. Low key on top is the key.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
