No yelling, unless you're Adam Ondra.

Swearing, it turns out, can have similar benefits. In a 2017 study that’s currently under peer review, researchers at Keele University in Staffordshire, England, had volunteers cycle on stationary bikes for two 30-second periods—once while cussing and once while chanting a neutral word.

I'm imagining someone riding a stationary bike chanting "beans, beans, beans, beans".

This isn't new information.  Making noises like grunts and yells have long been used in martial arts.  Some of it is to throw an opponent off guard, but mostly it's to enhance your force

I grunt so no one can hear me fart while doing a hard move.

I'm the opposite.  I fart so everyone is already laughing when I fall off of that hard move

I've found cursing helps, especially if you're in front of a church group and/or children.

Farting actually pushes you up and in to the rock - it's burps that push you out or down that's the problem  :)

What about hicups?  Should they help suction your face to the rock?  Or is there not a perfect seal to hold you there?

You should not be yelling because you can use your tongue when climbing a hard section.

Farting on route is aid.

If you fart from a sit start, is that a dab?

I'm not so sure the tongue is what someone was referencing the last time they told me that five points of contact was key on hard slab moves...

I've done that before.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
