There is a fixed hardware application here:

The piton in question is on the route 'Unknown 10c AKA Quadrille'

How about replacing the anchor with good glue-ins at the same time? They're older cold shuts with a straight-out pull on the under side of the little roof.

Also, two other routes in the immediate vicinity could use some love:

1) replace stud with modern bolt on "Stray Stud" to the left of Quadrille;

2) like-for-like replacement of Toys for Tots.

Thanks to ACE for all they do!

Hey, Steve.

I replaced Toys along with Quadrille last month. The rock quality at the anchor seemed good, so I think the 1/2" PowerBolts are fine. The angle of pull isn't ideal, but it's more than 30° off axis.

(I'll take a look at that stray stud, too.)

Do you need to be logged in to vote?  I can't seem to figure it out...

It has been tricky for some folks. You might need to use the 'lost password' link and use your email address as username. The email isn't immediate, so wait a few minutes.

I figured it out eventually.  Def tricky.  Thanks!

Thanks Greg! Good work on that sector.

Bump for a very hot topic.

To date, a total of three (3) votes have been cast. Have your say if you care. Likewise leave a comment or send a PM if you want to add some input.

The next ACE meeting is Monday, July 10th at 7 pm at Evo in Louisville. Members of the public that show up in person at the meeting will collectively get one vote, the online votes will be collected as a single vote, and the ACE board members and park manager will vote.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
